Services

We meet every Sunday at 11am & 6pm.

When you come to our Sunday Services, you can expect to be given a warm welcome. Bibles and hymn books will be given to you on arrival as needed.

Our services last for 1 to 1.5 hours and are led by a preacher, which usually is our pastor, Oliver Gross.

During the service, we sing hymns accompanied by an organ or piano; read the Bible (New King James Version); pray, bringing praise and thanks to God for His help and care over us. Lastly, there is a sermon which lasts for 30 to 45 minutes where the gospel is preached and the teachings of the Bible are explained and applied to our lives; encouraging us in our faith and proclaiming Christ.

A children’s talk is usually given during the morning service.

Services are relayed live to the crèche room which is found towards the back of the building.

We look forward to meeting you and worshipping together!

Sunday School

Every Sunday 11am-12.15pm. All children aged 4-15 are invited to attend our Sunday School.

Teaching the Bible to children is one of our highest priorities at Buckingham Chapel.

This is held each week and provides a wonderful opportunity for children to increase their understanding of the Bible and also their need to develop their own saving relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

What happens at Sunday School?

Sunday School children join the Sunday Morning Service to begin with, where there is a short children’s talk.

After the second hymn, Sunday School children leave the service and go downstairs to the hall, where they do some singing and then go into age-related classes where they have Bible lessons and do art/craft or puzzle activities.

Sunday School finishes at around the same time as the morning service, which is approximately 12.15pm.

Parents are most welcome to remain in the main service.

Please be assured that all adults who work with children at Buckingham have been DBS checked or have an international equivalent. All of our children’s activities adhere to our church’s safeguarding policy.

Communion Service

This is held twice a month, firstly on the first Sunday of the month after the morning service, and then on the third Sunday of the month after the evening service.

This is an opportunity for all believers to join together in remembering our Lord Jesus Christ by breaking bread and drinking wine. All non-Christians are most welcome to remain in the church and observe this part of the meeting.

Refreshments

Refreshments are served after the morning & evening services as announced and provide a time of informal fellowship and catching up with each other. All are welcome!

ExtraTime For Young Adults

A time of fellowship for young adults held at the home of one of our family members at 8.15pm after the Evening Service refreshments. All young adults, including students, are most welcome.
